Who we are

Draw My Career (“we”, “us”) operates a career assessment and counselling platform for students in India at drawmycareer.in, including partner pages on subdomains (for example, yourschool.drawmycareer.in). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and the class/stage you tell us you are in (for example, Class 8–10).
• Mobile number — if you verify it, so your career guide and counsellors can reach you on WhatsApp.
• Assessment responses and results — your answers to assessment questions and the reports we compute from them (interests, personality, aptitude, and related scores).
• Partner link — if you joined through a school or consultant’s page, we record that they are your career guide.
• Payment records — if you buy a report or counselling session, our payment provider processes the payment; we store what you bought and the transaction reference, never your card or banking details.
• Technical basics — login sessions (cookies) and standard logs needed to keep the service running and secure.

Students and parents

Our platform is designed for school students, who are usually minors. By allowing a student to use Draw My Career, the parent or guardian (or the school acting with parental consent) consents to this policy on their behalf. Parents or guardians can write to us at any time to review or delete their child’s data.

How we use your information

• To compute and show your career assessment results and reports.
• To let your career guide (your school/consultant) and our counsellors view your results and support you.
• To contact you about your assessment, report, or booked sessions — including on WhatsApp if you verified your number.
• To process purchases and keep required financial records.
• To improve the assessment and fix problems with the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who can see your results

Your assessment results are visible to you, to the partner (school or consultant) you joined through, to counsellors assigned to help you, and to our administrators for support. Other partners and other students cannot see your data.

Service providers we rely on

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (data hosted in Sydney, Australia).
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Google — optional “Sign in with Google”.
• Razorpay — payment processing for purchases made in India.
• Zoho — our email (for messages we send and receive).
• SMS/WhatsApp providers — to deliver verification codes and updates to your number.

Each provider only receives what it needs to perform its role for us.

How long we keep data

We keep your account, results and purchase records while your account is active, so you and your guide can refer back to your reports. If you (or your parent/guardian) ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data, keeping only what the law requires us to retain (such as tax records for payments).

Your choices and rights

• You can view and download your report at any time from your dashboard.
• You can update your profile details, or ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• You can ask us to delete your account and data by writing to us.
• You can skip WhatsApp verification; it is optional.

Security

Access to your data is role-restricted (student, partner, counsellor, administrator), connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and payment details are handled entirely by the payment provider. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we design access narrowly on purpose.
